The facility includes three 15-megawatt (MW) thermal, natural gas fired, high-efficiency boilers, a Condensing Economizer – a cost-effective waste heat recovery system which improves the facility’s energy efficiency. The building features a double height boiler room, constructed primarily of steel and exposed cross laminated timber with a fully-glazed façade to allow pedestrians to experience the building’s function.
