The Vanderhoof Aquatic Centre is a cornerstone for wellness, recreation, and community connection in Northern BC. The facility includes a six-lane lap pool, leisure pool, hot tub, sauna, and aquatic climbing wall within a bright, welcoming environment designed for all ages.

Lighting plays a defining role in the atmosphere and safety of the aquatic spaces. With the ceiling left exposed, a custom suspended linear LED lighting system was developed to visually echo the ceiling’s original geometry while maintaining balanced, glare-free illumination across the pools.

The design achieves smooth, even light levels throughout the space, enhancing visibility, comfort, and visual rhythm. Energy-efficient LED technology and durable, low-maintenance materials ensure reliable performance in the demanding natatorium environment.

CDm2 LIGHTWORKS’ Role

CDm2 provided lighting supply and coordination, delivering an intelligent system that integrates performance, aesthetics, and sustainability. The result is a refined lighting environment that elevates both architecture and user experience while supporting long-term energy efficiency and operational ease.
