Nanaimo Airport
Nanaimo, BC
Project Details
The Nanaimo Airport expansion focuses on modular design to support future growth, potentially tripling in size by 2035. Inspired by the local landscape, industry, and the legacy of pilot Raymond Collisaw, the project enhances passenger facilities and security while aiming to serve as a vibrant community gateway
The completion of the first phase of the masterplan increases the passenger departure lounge space and provides dedicated passenger security. It integrates state-of-the-art lighting, which offer energy-efficient, controlled lighting that complements the architectural aesthetics. Innovative lighting features include advanced zone control, continuous dimming, and daylight sensors, significantly reducing energy consumption while enhancing the user experience.
