AIBC Confab 2021 Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open for AIBC Confab 2021! Taking place online over two half days on May 10 and 11, AIBC Confab provides engaging professional development content for architectural professionals in a streamlined format. Participants will be able to virtually attend stimulating seminars and an interactive workshop, which explore topics highly relevant to today’s architectural profession – such as green building, housing initiatives, the impact of COVID-19 on design, and more.

Interdisciplinary Plenary Speakers

The AIBC is delighted to feature two plenaries at Confab 2021, which feature thought-provoking interdisciplinary speakers:

Opening Plenary | “We are Called to be Architects of the Future” with Radha Mistry

Confab 2021 opens with a look towards the future of architecture with strategic foresight leader, Radha Mistry. Radha’s presentation will delve into the impact of emerging technologies and how they will change the way we design, as well as discuss how today’s architecture can reveal our visions for the future, address our deepest uncertainties, and incite real change. Radha is passionate about how we might transform visions of the future into tangible outcomes that drive people to positive action.

Closing Plenary | “Landscapes of the Future” with Daan Roosegaarde

Dutch artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde will close the event with “Landscapes of the Future”, where he will discuss the innovative practice of merging people, technology and space to create a future-proof world. Virtual floods, smart highways, and smog sucking towers – Daan uses technology to explore the social role of design in our world and activate solutions to improve life in urban environments. His presentation will show the importance of “Schoonheid” (a Dutch word meaning both beauty and cleanliness) and share a vision for a better future.

AIBC Confab Goes Online, One Reduced Rate for All Participants

Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AIBC Confab 2021 will be offered exclusively online and at a reduced rate for all participants. A variety of ticket options are available, including Full Package, Single Session(s), or Workshop – all pricing details can be found on the website.
